As we march on into another holiday season–the most profitable time of the year for retail–and a new calendar year, we at Where2GetIt have been considering what technological innovations and new trends we could see for the landscape of digital marketing for 2015. An article was published by Forbes this week that listed some predictions about the changing landscape of digital marketing and we’re taking a look at how Where2GetIt and Brandify can play a part in some of those predictions for digital marketing in 2015.
There’s no question that mobile continues to grow and become more influential in business and digital marketing. We’ve felt the effects already as new technology enters the marketplace (beacontechnology, wearable devices, ApplePay). But with an upcoming holiday season more of these gadgets will be put into the hands of both retailers and consumers. Mobile is increasingly becoming a part of our daily lives, and brands should be thinking about how they can utilize this technology in their marketing efforts.
Consumers aren’t just using their desktops to search, learn and communicate, and this isn’t a new concept anymore. Mobile devices are in the hands of millions of consumers, and beacons, geotargeting and local advertising can interact with these devices (and thus the consumer) at any moment. Conversations happen at lightning speed on social media. Brandify was developed to help companies comprehensively understand what’s being said said about their brand and help them connect with consumers in return.
The gaps between differing marketing channels (social media, search engine optimization, etc) will continue to narrow in the near future. We feel strongly that brands’ digital marketing plans should encompass all major channels and maintain consistent: Traditional marketing and advertising means still exist, but any company that wishes to be successful needs to consider all their digital opportunities.
Brandify is built to put all your digital marketing needs in one place. The Brandify Dashboard allows multilocation businesses to view all their online business listings, monitor online reviews for each location, analyze keyword performance for SEO as well as page rank, and more: Analysis of all these channels and categories result in a Brand Score, the “report card” for your brand to gauge the effectiveness and health of your digital marketing efforts. Brandify can then offer suggestions for improving a Brand Score, using technology and the insight of our team to improve the effectiveness of those digital marketing efforts.
